Oh, it's been a month since I last wrote.
Anyways, Hi there! How are things going with you? Aren't you tired from the Golden Week? Well.. in Japan, we have about a week holiday from the end of April. Many people take a trip, have a good time with their family or relax at home to get rid of stress. As for me, I flew to LA to visit my friend and meet angels!
So, today I want to write about my Golden Week trip to LA and Vegas with some photos.

This chapel is the first place I was blown away in LA.

Well... to be exact, I was impressed by the view from this Starbucks first.I wished I was there at sunset.

After the crazily fun trip to Vegas, my vacation turned out to be a relaxing one. Enjoyed chilling at the beach a lot.

I found the perfect place to spend my free time and can't help but go to the cat cafe when I have some time. I had no idea that cats are such sweeties. I'm totally head over heels in love with the kittens now.

The Worst

The largest earthquake and tsunami on record hit northeastern Japan yesterday afternoon. It was truly the largest earthquake and the most scary experience in my entire life. And I think yesterday was one of the worst days in Japanese history. All the videos and photos are just nightmares. I can't believe this is really happening in the beautiful Japan. The huge tsunami destroyed everything in coastal towns and most of the highways and trains are still messed up in eastern Japan so some are having hard time getting back their home. Thankfully all my friends and family members are fine, some are evacuated and suffering from the water outage though. Well, I've been spending hours and hours watching the news about the disaster since I got home last night and feel so sorry for people who are missing and waiting to be rescued in the dark. Right now, the news is telling us that over 10,000 people are missing in Miyagi prefecture. Oh my goodness, what a disaster! We're still getting aftershocks, so please please be on alert everyone!

安比奈線跡を歩く

行ってきました、念願の安比奈線跡★
お天気にも恵まれて絶好の廃線跡めぐり日和♪

スタートは西武新宿線の南大塚駅
駅を出て裏手に回ると早速、安比奈線の線路を発見！
残念ながら、ホームは無かったけど。。。

このあたりは枕木もバラストも無いし、だいぶ廃線らしい♪
住宅地を縫うように引かれた線路をサクサク線路を辿っていくと…

うひゃー！…てかココ、庭？畑？？物置？？？
地元密着型とでも言うべきか。。。
生活感たっぷりの線路なんてチョットかわいい★

イイ味が出てる架線柱

住宅地エリアを抜けて田園エリアになるとイイ感じに朽ち果ててます☆

安比奈線はちょこちょこと短めの橋梁があります。

Little Tokyo? Nooo Little Edo!!

Today I went to Kawagoe, Saitama. There are many historical buildings, shrines and temples. I felt as if I was back to Edo period.

Then I went to Kitain-temple which is known as the birthplace of the 3rd Tokugawa-Shogun Iemitsu.

喜多院で枯山水発見〜〜♪

Also known as one of the three major statue of Rakan in Japan. There're more than 500 unique statues of Rakan. Some are laughing, picking their noses, having a whispering chat and some are giving a tickle. Haha massage of course.

It's said that there's one state that looks alike you.

Yokohama

Today, I just want to share some photos from my Yokohama trip.
I'm blown away by the beautiful view every time I go to Yokohama. Definitely one of my favorite places.

I walked around to take pictures of pretty windows. Haha!

Far from Spring

I enjoyed the springlike weekend in Tokyo but this weekend I was back to winter again. Anyway, I went to Shrines and temples in Nikko which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. I was really impressed with the multicolored carvings and really beautiful view.

Nikko Toshogu is dedicated to Ieyasu Tokugawa, and this is the grave.

Then I enjoyed walking the snowy trail from Takinoo Shrine to Kanmangafuchi.

I still miss warm spring a lot but the snowy day trip wasn't so bad actually. The snow-covered Nikko was neat, so called "Wabi-Sabi".

It's really nice and pretty to walk around at this time of the year and you cannot avoid falling in love with plum blossoms. Now I think I'm really the flower obsessed.

Anyways, I went out to gardens for finding some spring today.
Kyu-Furukawa Garden

This's a would-be awesome rose garden. I have to visit again when the roses are in full bloom. It'd be a shame to miss the gorgeous view and smell in May and June. Well, this garden reminded me of Alice In Wonderland.

After Kyu-Furukawa Garden, I went to Rikugien.

Plum trees are also in full bloom in this garden.

A little cutie was drawing a picture up there.

The other cuties were enjoying feeling the spring sunshine.

Summer Baby!

Hi there! How did you enjoy your weekend?
As for me, I went to Guam to relieve my tiredness and to feel the summery air a little bit earlier than the others. I had a really great summer weekend down there!

I enjoyed Seawalker, snorkeling, banana boat riding and parasailing. But just being at the beach was so good too.

It's a bit sad that I'm in cold cold Japan now. But this trip definitely made me feel refreshed and gave me a huge power to fight against this coldness.

The Trail Of...

Now I'm officially a mountain person. Never thought I'd get attracted to mountain climbing this much. I went to Oyama, Kanagawa which is in the national park.
We were supposed to see the beautiful shape of Mt. Fuji from the top and some viewing spots but the clouds hid it.

But still, I could enjoy the nice view and walking around in the woods.
Trees are just beautiful.

I'm itching to go mountain climbing again!

The Stretch

As of January 22, Tokyo Sky Tree has reached a height of 559 meters, of course it's the tallest building in Japan now. I'm surprised how huge it is every time I pass nearby and can't help taking photos.
Seems like many people are looking forward to meeting a 634 Sky Tree. Hm.. don't you think it's kind of cool that people in the 1950's felt the same about Tokyo Tower?

I didn't really think it's cool at first, but now I'm totally enchanted by the cool Stretch.

Well, I just wanted to leave some photos of it under construction.

The Underworld

Hello there! I've been such a stranger for so long. Well.. I've got some new hobbies, such as taking photos and visiting shrines and temples to correct the stumps which is called Goshuin. So I've been quite busy for looking around shrines, temples and cool places. But I'll keep you all posted of photos and stuff here.

Anyways, today I went to a really neat underworld in Oya, Tochigi.

It's just like a basement palace, isn't it? I was totally blown away!

I felt like I was exploring a huge cave.

This stone museum said that you can have a wedding ceremony or a concert there if you want.

My Wanting

This is what we're supposed to see. "Lovely Still"

Seems like a real lovely movie, doesn't it? I'm quite sure that I'll be touched a lot by the story. This trailer could make me cry, no kidding! But the bad thing is that major studios don't show this movie. I'm surprised that we can only see this movie at Cine Switch Ginza in Tokyo. None of the movie theaters except Cine Switch show it even in Tokyo!? What a bizarre!
Anyway, I cannot wait till this Saturday!

Gentlemen's Sport

Golf is well known as a gentlemen's sports. So I just thought about why people think that way. Well.. as you know there's no referee, so I think it's more like everyone, including audiences needs to be gentle and nice during the round. We all have to learn and know the manner and all the stuff. And players have to get themselves under control, have to fit in with others. Well.. Don't you think it's similar to our life in a way? People need to survive, make some big decisions and judge themselves without any referees. You can talk and ask your family, friends and someone else of course. But it's still your decision, you know! Everything's up to you eventually. So I suppose we all should make an effort to be like gentle golf players and try to enjoy the game as much as we can.

I wasn't really a punk person, and didn't really listen to these types of music. But I bought a ticket for PUNKSPRING 2010 when I went drinking with my buddies about a month ago. Do you know why I bought it, though I didn't have any interest in punk music? It's because we all were tipsy then! lmao!

So anyway, we went to Makuhari, Chiba for the live this weekend! The snaky long line to enter the place made us tired somewhat when we got there, but once we went inside the atmosphere, people, sound and everything made us crazy! hahaha
That event was way more fun than I imagined! People were jumping, diving and moshing each other during the performance, that was awfully scary but also looked really fun.

Well.. now, I'm interested in some other fes, such as SUMMER SONIC 2010 and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2010.

Some Magical Power?

Some spiritual places have been quite popular among girls in Japan these days. People go these places to feel easy, to get energy from nature or whatever and to make a wish. As for me, yeah! I've visited a couple of places, such as Tokyo Daijingu, Jishu shrine and a number of other shrines and temples. Ohh and Mt. Fuji, of course! Well I still have tons of places where I've been wanting to go to for quite some time all over Japan and other countries. Well.. I rarely make a wish though, I just want to enjoy the trip to the places, talking about the trip and I like to think and say "Woohoo! I made it!". I suppose it means a lot to me just being there.

New Everything

It was so busy at work today, because of the end of this month. At the same time, today is the end of the business year 2009. Phew, I worked like a horse which is really rare. Anyway, lots of things will change on 1st of April at the schools, companies and many other places here in Japan. So April makes us feel it's a brand new start, and also feel like the cherry trees are celebrating the start. I'm just guessing that's why so many people get excited about having the party with SAKURA outside. Well.. but seriously, spring seems like a good season to start new things. Because the weather gets warmer, various flowers start blooming and you can feel the energy of life from a bunch of things. Oh yeah, I'll enjoy pretty spring even though I have a pollen allergy and am suffering from it. Plus, I'll make a super duper effort to feel the new energy to brighten up myself.

Thinking to start something new from this spring, yeah?

Japanesy Spring

Many people including me of course, get all excited at this time every year here in Japan. You know why? Because of the cherry blossom party! I do know that there're thousands of cherry trees all over the world, but not really sure if people enjoy having parties (drinking and eating) under the blooming cherry trees in other countries. I don't know very much about what's gonna happen outside Japan, but I heard that you cannot drink alcohol on the street, on the park and in all other public places in the States. For me, it's hard to accept that I cannot have the boozy party with the pretty cherry trees. I guess tipsy eyes make the trees look prettier! Man, glad I'm a Japanese! Japan rocks! haha

All Nighter

It's time for me to go to bed, it really is! But I'm feeling like blogging before I go to bed somehow. Supposedly I'm too tired to make a normal and a good decision. Just kidding! HAHA, Hopefully writing this will make me fall asleep.
Anyway, did you know that there was a festival called "Roppongi Art Night 2010"? We could enjoy the festival all night long. It's so Roppongy(LOL), isn't it? Click here for more info. And the cherry trees are almost in full bloom, so we enjoyed the pretty Sakura and the artistic atmosphere.

All right, now I'm tired! Thanks for making me feel tired, my blah blog. I'll now dive into my sweet bed.

Medical Checkup

Today, I'd like to write about breast cancer a little bit. As you may know, breast cancer is the most common cancer for women who haven't been pregnant and haven't had any babies especially. Of course there're many other reasons though. Well.. anyway, it's not that hard to detect the cancer earlier by mammography. So nowadays, the government recommends and lets women over 30 years old to take the mammographic screening. SO! I'm planning to go see a doctor and get the checkup within the next couple of weeks. Someone told me that mammography is like... "ouch!!". Yeah.. I'm kinda freaked out... But I know I'll be fine, I mean all girls will be fine for sure. So I want you girls to get checkups for yourselves, your family, your friends, your future and everything, I'm telling you.
I'm quite sure it's worth it. AGAIN!! it's worth it!

Have you seen this movie yet?
I didn't expect the story much. I just wanted to go see it for Bradley Cooper and Orlando Bloom. But it was great actually. Well.. you know, it's not something like the blockbuster movies. But cool and fancy enough! I enjoyed it a lot.

Bradley was amazingly hot in this movie. He's the hottest guy EVER!

Ideal Place?

I've got about a week off coming up in a month. So I'm thinking to fly out to some nice place. What I have in my mind so far is visiting my friend in LA. But I sort of want to go to some asian beach resorts, such as Palau, Thai and Maldives.
